We are hugely excited to once again be playing at the Pan Pacific Masters Games.  Over 13.000 awesome folks aged 30 & over will descend on the Gold Coast for this bi-annual event, to enjoy a week of sport…bonding with team mates & like-minded legends from all over the place…and partying!

The view from the stage is always magnificent.

Magic Carpet Ride is proud to have been part of this world-class event since 2008 (performing in 2008 & 2010 as ‘Rush Hour’). Our vocalist, Stu, was even involved as an MC with the Pan Pacs in the early days – when headquarters was on the waterfront at Southport under a couple of big marquees! Since then, we’ve watched it grow into a mammoth success for all involved. It’s a tremendous boost to the Gold Coast economy….and the dedicated team at Tourism and Events Queensland never fail to impress. This year, some lucky participants will even be competing in brand new venues constructed for the forthcoming Commonwealth Games.

While we’re on stage, it blows us away to look out upon thousands of happy faces…and witness everyone having the time of their lives. We’re not really sure how they all manage to compete in their events following such huge nights at the Games Village! It takes a special kind of athlete to go for gold with a massive hangover…and we applaud you all! Especially the ladies netball teams – total party animals who are right up the front and ready to party every single night!

Magic Carpet Ride will be performing live at Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre on opening night (Saturday Nov 5th) along with Aussie legends Angry Anderson and Ross Wilson! It’ll be huge!

This year, our friends at Jupiters will be hosting the weeknight entertainment – featuring Killer QueenThe Koi BoysKissperienceOils, Angels & Divinyls Show…and more!

Then, we’ll be back for closing night (Sat Nov 12th) at Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre to round out your massive week along with ‘Absolutely 80’s’ featuring  Scott Carne (Kids in the Kitchen), Mark Gable (Choirboys), Sean Kelly (Models), and David Sterry (Real Life).

If you’re coming along – we can’t wait to see you!

Head over and like our Facebook page for updates and Pan Pacs photo’s…and let us know if your team wants a shout-out during our set!
